At Tiger Ranch our Alpaca adventure began in 2005 after a Delta flight from Atlanta to Richmond during which I learned of these unique creatures. For the next year the research effort was underway. After speaking with over 30 farms and visiting at least a dozen we began to shape our Alpaca business plan for the future. Our decision was to focus on the Suri Alpaca. We puchased our first in 2006 and have never looked back. Today our herd is over twenty. Our emphasis is on Accoyo bloodlines. Our breeding process is geared toward advancement through genetics. As a successful business owner, I value a well thought out strategy, which is disciplined and repeatable. Our breeding program is our blue print for success.
